How much does it cost to hire a lawyer?
It does not cost anything to hire a lawyer if you are eligible for a lawsuit. We take all cases on a contingency basis which means we do not get paid unless we win or settle your case.
What should I bring to the consultation or first meeting?
You should bring any relevant paperwork, including your ID, and any existing legal documentation you have concerning your claim. Once you call to set up a free case evaluation, I can be more specific on exactly what you will need to bring.
What types of cases does your law firm handle?
The firm primarily focuses on mass torts (Dangerous Drugs or Defective Production) and Class Action litigation with an emphasis on securities fraud class actions. While those are the primary areas of focus, we also handle the following types of civil litigation:
How much experience do you have?
I have been practicing law for approximately twenty-four years after working full-time at a Nashville law firm and attending night law school at the Nashville Shool of Law. I have the following awards and certifications; among others you may see on the About page.
How long do I have to file a lawsuit?
That depends on what type of claim or case you have. The time in which to bring a claim, referred to as the statutes of limitation, are different depending on the types of claim you have. Once you call me for a free case evaluation, and I understand more about your claim, I will be better able to tell you which statute of limitation applies and how long you have to file your lawsuit.
Do you charge for a case evaluation?
No we never charge for a free case evaluation. At the free case evaluation, we will discuss the details of your potential case, the legal process and answer any questions you may have.
What about out-of-pocket fees?
There will never be any up-front, out-of-pocket costs from you. You will not pay us anything unless and until we obtain a settlement or verdict in your favor.
